With headquarters in Beijing, China, and offices in India, Ethiopia, Ghana and Ecuador, INBAR works with over 35 countries member countries worldwide.
Current methods for resource inventory, certification and monitoring have limitations, are not appropriate for smallholders and homestead situations, and are not economically viable and sustainable for such target groups. In addition, pilot tests have shown that it is possible to put in place at lower costs than current means, participatory and real-time data gathering and information exchange mechanisms. This could result in multiple benefits to rural communities, increase transparency, awareness, and encourage community/group actions, while reducing costs and increasing productivity and income for them. It could also enable frequent or real-time, recording of quantitative and qualitative development results, outcomes and impact.

Under the general guidance of the Chief Child Survival and Development programme, you will be responsible for the development, planning, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of UNICEF programme of cooperation in nutrition in Sierra Leone which aims to improve nutrition programmes and strategies thereby leading to a reduction of malnutrition among children and women.
Key Expected Results
1. You will participate in the formulation and development of programme goals, strategies and approaches for the UNICEF plan of cooperation. Plan, implement and monitor activities in Infant and Young Child Feeding and Nutrition. Prepare the Infant and Young Child Feeding and Nutrition component of the Annual Workplan of the Child Survival and Development programme.
2. You will participate with UNICEF/government/and other partners in the development of strategies, methodologies and identification of new approaches for improving infant and young child feeding and nutrition, with emphasis on programme communication at community and household levels.
3. You will provide technical assistance for policy development and strategy formulation in the area of infant and young child feeding and nutrition that reflects child survival and development.
4. You will ensure the preparation of the Child Feeding and Nutrition component of the Situation Analysis and its periodic update. Prepare input of the Infant and Young Child Feeding and Nutrition component to the Country Programme Recommendation (CPR) and all related documents, (e.g., Plan of Operations, Project Plans of Action, Country Programme Summary Sheet (CPSS), Programme Summary Sheet (PSS)), for assigned programmes/projects.
5. You will assist government authorities and partners in planning and organizing training programmes for the purpose of capacity building of service providers, at national and district levels, to deliver nutrition services for children under five years and women of child bearing age, including HIV/AIDS affected children

1. You will participate in the formulation and development of programme goals, strategies and approaches for the UNICEF plan of cooperation. Currently, the team is closely involved in the Africa Adaptation Programme, UN-REDD, Community Based Adaptation Programme, and is currently a key practice area in the newly launched cross practice approach in developing capacity development programmes for supporting climate-resilient development in vulnerable countries, and access to energy for the poor among others. In August 2010, UNDP Ukraine will establish a Sub-office in Simferopol, the capital of the Republic. The role of the UNDP Sub-office in Crimean is to carry out overall programme coordination activities and support the implementation of the operational projects. The UNDP Sub-office in Crimea also will provide support to the Government of Crimea in ensuring international aid effectiveness in the peninsula.
In order to achieve suitable economies of scale in administering projects in the ARC, a Project Services Center (PSC) will be established to provide project implementation services including procurement, HR management, administration, finance and communication.

Background
The Afghanistan Subnational Governance Programme (ASGP) is the UNDP’s flagship governance programme and plays a key role in developing the institutions and systems to ensure effective implementation of the sub-national governance strategies outlined in the Afghan National Development Strategy and the Afghanistan Compact.
ASGP works with and through the Government of Afghanistan to build the institutional structures required for effective service delivery at the central, provincial, district, and municipal levels. ASGP’s activities are designed to achieve long term sustainability through institutional, organizational and individual capacity development.
ASGP is directly implemented in partnership with the Independent Directorate for Local Governance (IDLG) and the Independent Administrative Reform and Civil Service Commission (IARCSC). UNDP Bangladesh in partnership with Prime Minister’s Office, PMO has established an ICT4D Programme titled, “Access to Information (A2I)”, BGD/06/005 to harness e-Governance activities in Bangladesh.
Access to Information Programme aims at ensuring the appropriateness of new initiatives and programmes for e-Governance/e-Services/ICT4D within the changed context of national priorities (ICT Policy 2009, ICT Act 2009, Digital Bangladesh declaration and over 50 Quick Win initiatives led by the Secretaries and facilitated by the ongoing A2I programme). With the declaration of Digital Bangladesh campaign with a development vision for 2021, government has incorporated ICT in the national development agenda and as a result this programme based at the PMO has gained added significance and visibility. It continue to identify, prioritize and mainstream ICT into national development policies and to assist in the formulation of national e-Governance/e-Services/ICT4D Vision and strategy that can harness digital opportunities for development in consultation with stakeholders. This programme will also support the implementation of the Vision and strategy by developing new projects and programmes for e-Governance/e-Services/ICT4D and provide technical assistance for monitoring and evaluation of these projects/programmes.
This programme will also support capacity development of the e-Governance Cell at PMO aimed at strengthening skills and competencies to execute the projects undertaken by the cell. Such assistance include assuming appropriate roles and responsibilities in project initiation, knowledge advisory support to projects quality assurance and monitoring of progress and evaluation of results during implementation, and in defining the exit strategy.
The A2I Programme is looking to recruit a Media and Communication Specialist, who will work as the media focal point of the project and coordinate other media related issues.
